November 26, 201213 yr Hi, I thought twice that I forgot to click on "close & save" in the parameters menu, but I did it fine. When I (un)check parameters like "text line", it is not saved. At least this one. Got to try the other options.
November 26, 201213 yr Check out this thread. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/391436-settings-not-saved-with-sp2/
November 27, 201213 yr Author Thank you for the link, I did read it carefully. What I don't understand is why some of the options are linked to the profiles: shouldn't text lines have nothing to do with profiles as it is more a general preference ? Good day !
November 27, 201213 yr If you select a profile at startup, it loads a complete default config file for that profile, which is never changed. If you save your changes, it saves them to your working profile, not the profile you just loaded. To load your working profile with your changes, you need to select Keep Current Settings. November 27, 201213 yr Author Hi, Thanks for the clear explanation. This was only a warning that this is not so clear, and that HiFI should expect a flow of support requests without any short explanation in AS. Just my 2 cents.
November 27, 201213 yr This was only a warning that this is not so clear, and that HiFI should expect a flow of support requests I agree. I took one look at that dialog, then searched out the files to see how it was implemented and thought, "They're gonna have problems with this one." They have to keep a stable set of profiles so it loads the same way each time you select one. When you save your options, it does not overwrite these profiles. Now... what happens if I make some changes then want to get my original options back? There's no way to do this from the options screens. What I did was make a copy of my options config file so I can revert back when I wish. There's no good way to experiment with the options then go back to what you had before, other than manually copying the file. Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
