November 26, 201213 yr Some unknown activity happened to my install of ther PMDG resulting in a corrupted panel.cfg file. I had an FSX crash and now I'm unable to get the ramp manager panel to display. When I select it, it pops up and disappears, seemingly to behind the FSX window. Despite closing all my open windows, and using "Force Window Display" to perhaps reveal it if hidden, I cannot find it. Very frustrating as I have no way to initiate the external power to start the Jestream. I could re-install, but hoping to avoid having to do so. Perhaps someone can share their panel.cfg file or snip the revelvant window01 information so as to bring it back to default. Rob RM Killins
November 26, 201213 yr Could this be a transparency issue? There's a slider for it in the FSX menu. Perhaps check the position. This would affect all popups though. But here's the entry. That's from the HIDEF panel.cfg. [Window01] file=j41/pmdg_j41_rampman.bmp size_mm=700,643 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=8 visible=0 ident=10 window_size= 0.400, 0.550 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 gauge00=j41!pmdg_j41_rampman, 0,0, 700,643
November 26, 201213 yr Author Thanks CoolP for your help. I'll check out the transparency thing, but as you mentioned that would affect all popups. The GPS and FMC are unaffected. Is there any difference in the hi-def panel.cfg and the panel.cfg for this popup? RM Killins
November 26, 201213 yr Good question that is. Here's the LODEF one. [Window01] file=j41/pmdg_j41_rampman.bmp size_mm=700,643 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=8 visible=0 ident=10 window_size= 0.400, 0.550 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 gauge00=j41!pmdg_j41_rampman, 0,0, 700,643 I think the panel.cfg only differs on the Vcockpit entries and their resolution.
November 26, 201213 yr Author So, I repaired my panel.cfg and panel_HIDEF.cfg by replacing the components as CoolP provided. The ramp manager popup now appears, but it has lost it's functionality. When I click on anything in the window, even the X to close it, nothing happens. Any ideas? Edit ... nothing works on the FMS either. The GPS appears to work. RM Killins
