Ive got my eye on Linux

I've tinkered around with Linux since probably 2000. My first serious attempt at using it as my primary OS was Slackware 8, I think? I then moved to Gentoo for several years but eventually got aggravated with the long compile times and general lack of stability (routine upgrades could just as easily break the system as improve it). I eventually wound up with Kubuntu which I've been using without issue for the past few years, but the early growing pains with Slackware and Gentoo were instructive because they taught me a lot about Linux and trained me to not be afraid to dig into config files.
