Im able to get upwards of 47 fps, but thats with the scenery settings on low, anything i can do for an increase? Anyway to put a i5 in it? or change the graphics?

I have a L755 which is an i5.

 

Honestly if you game on the lappy you should watch out for the heat.

 

I think you should be able to put in an i5 depending on the motherboard series.

I hav the weak i3, I have the thing on those felt pads that you put on the bottom of chair legs so there's a nice gap for airflow don't know how else to improve on cooling

There's not much you could do except get a cooling pad it may just help a little. or use the lappy in an AC room may give a little cooling. When use FSX on my lappy even in an AC environment the temps shoot to 82 - 85.

Just got it, now does tj max mean the highest allowed temp? And what happens if it hits that temp i believe it's 85c

While flying today i had a ctd and after crashing i looked at core temp and saw this:

would reaching 78C cause a crash?

You have to check "Core" temps. Where it shows the Max reached is 78 degrees, hey you better be careful , now depending on the max core temps for the i3 2310m you have to keep your temps to 55-60 degrees in FSX but that may not be possible.

buti think the temp was around 65 when it crashed idt that would cause the crash though?

did the machine crash or did FSX ?

fsx crashed then fsx restarted

You mean FSX exiting and restarted on it own ?

yes it froze when i clicked on something while flying then exited itself
