December 4, 201213 yr Is it possible that after installing "Flight One Software - Ultimate Terrain X - Europe" none of the planes (default and non) can follow the correct ILS that FSX has? I have noticed that ,although I enter the correct ILS (that FSX shows on map) the planes do not follow it. Has anybody had this problem and how to repair. stelios Stelios Christofides
December 5, 201213 yr I suppose it's possible, though I don't see how. If you see the ILS listed on the map or GPS, it should be available and active, Regardless, my approach to the porblem is always the same. 1. Start flight at problem airport at runway start position where you think there should be ILS, using default aircraft (recommend Beech Baron). 2. Tune ILS on nav radio, verify deviation needles are centered and ILS audio is proper morse code. 3. If that works, enter slew mode slew up to about 2000 ft agl, then slew back until glideslope deviation needle is centered. Localizer shoud be approximately centered (there are a very few locations were localizer is offset). VASI/PAPI if installed should show proper flight path visually. Look at the GPS, you should be approximately at the final approach fix. If that works, then the ILS is working. Problem is probably specific to your aircraft, or how the autopilot in your aircraft is working. You can repeat with your specific aircraft and verify that ILS is working same as the default Baron. That leaves the auto pilot. Recommend talking off level off at 2000 ft AGL and pause then save flight. Then enter slew mode and slew around to various positions around the approach end of the runway, exit slew and unpause then engage the autopilot or flight director and see how it responds relative to the deviation indicators. scott s. .
