Problems with saitek instrument panels

Featured Replies

I have 8 instrument panels, but have found if I plug in more than six on a powered USB hub I run into problems. They won't stay connected and lock up when I run fsx. If I plug the other two in a different hub, they all seem to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem.

Also, is there a way to set the panels up configured the way I want each time I run fsx? Right now they start up all randomly configured and I have to start out by rearranging them all.

Hi Waygo,

First, make sure your hub and panels are all plugged into USB 2.0 connections versus 3.0. If this is not helpful, checkout the Power Supply on your PC. Is it sufficient enough to support the number of USB devices you are running?

If you have all of these plugged into a hub using USB 2.0 is it self powered?

If you can eliminate these possible issues you will be on you way to solving AND the setup will remain after each shut down/power up cycle... I have 13 USB devices, Saitek, CH, and GoFlight that run flawlessly. BUT... I had to slug all into USB 2.0, Beef up my PS and make sure I had two USB 2.0 powered hubs. (Belkin)

Hope this helps you.... Been where you are and done that!! The above solved my issue completely.

Hi guys I am having a problem with my Saitek instrument panel. I have just added 7 instruments and the avionics panel to my FSX but I am finding that the simulator is slowed down by the number of instruments that I have even though the instruments and radio stack are connected to USB docking towers. can anyone suggest a fix.
