Randomly dropping FSX?

Featured Replies

I'm fairly confused with my FSX - at the moment, I'm mid Atlantic with the NGX and getting 8-10FPS in the VC, with 35-45FPS on the exterior.. I've never had them this low in the VC inflight before. I generally normally get 15-25 in the VC airborne.

At the moment I'm only running FSX, Squawk Box & Google Chrome.. Any idea what could be causing this? When I left EGLL with UK2000's scenery I was getting 15+ in the VC.

Do you use the FIX page a lot? Or the VOR course lines? On both items, I saw a fps hit in some situations. I couldn't really pinpoint it though, but I saw some posts regarding the issue.

I have my ETOPS Alternates with 435nm rings around them that are visible with two equal time points. I just deleted the ones I'm not using and I've bumped to 20FPS.. that's weird ha! Thanks for the tip mate :-)

You haven't tweaked your fsx.cfg by any chance? Run this question in the PMDG forum. If it is an issue with the NGX they will surley know how to help you.

Try rebooting you computer during the day or night to free up memory helps with fps.
