That reminds me of an experience I had in a partially constructed A320 fixed-base simulator in Shanghai. The flight dynamics seemed to be severely off, as there were no fly-by-wire effects (it flew like the Airbus X with SEC1 off), and the aircraft required an attitude of 10 degrees to maintain level flight at 240 KT with normal fuel and payload levels. Then again, I knew something wasn't very realistic when I sat down and saw the Saitek flight controls. That was a waste of money. . . .

 

Much better was the A320 simulator I experienced in Singapore. I had just come out of a gaming store slightly unhappy that the Saitek joystick I wanted to buy wasn't being sold. What a surprise when I took the escalator down and saw a complete fixed-base simulator right there in the mall!
