Flight1's meridian

Featured Replies

Hello ,I am considering buying the meridian and i was wondering if someone who has already purchased it can tell me more about hte aircraftI'd like to know if my amd2800+ r9800 pro 512mb ram pc3200 can handle both the vc and 2d panels.Hows are the systems simulated ?Is buying from flight1 secure and safe ?Thanks,

Hi there. I'm a very happy Meridian owner myself and I can answer those questions :)First, I'm running a P4-1.8 with 768 megs of PC2100 and a GF4Ti4200 and the Meridian works just fine for me. My framerates are generally between 20 and 28fps dropping into the high teens around high density areas. (just an aside, I noticed pretty significant improvements in the sim when I went from 512 to 768 megs of ram. I found I could enjoy flying many of the planes that previously had brought my system to its knees. You might want to consider adding a stick to get the full measure of performance out of your system as FS9 is pretty ram hungry it seems). As far as systems modelling goes, you won't find many better modelled avionics packages available for FS9. The Meridian is extremely complete and accurate - so much so that you can use the actual manufacturers operating manuals for the various installed units (they refer you to the downloads for those manuals in the docs that come with the meridian.)Buying from Flight1 is perfectly secure and safe as far as I can tell. You download the file first and the purchasing form comes up as part of the install process. I've had no problems at all with either the Meridian or the Archer which I just recently picked up (and am enjoying enourmously btw. Great plane if you wanna go "old-skool.") :)

I fly the Meridian on a P4-2.8, 512 Meg, Ti4200 machine with excellent results. The avionics are modelled unbelievably well on this plane. The collaboration between Flight1 and RealityXP really paid off!I do not know of a better / more realistic cockpit in FS9.Flight1 is a class outfit and I have no hesitations about recommending them.

If the purachse is made from the installerWhat if i want to uninstall it and afterwards reinstall it ?

Once the perchase has been finalized, a key is generated which you can save for later reinstalls...

Have to agree with what's been said so far.P4 2.53 512m ATI 9600 I had a hard disk crash and couldn't find the cd I copied the install and key to. I emailed Flight1 and got a new key same night. I can't say anything bad about 'em. First class products, first class support.
