December 13, 201213 yr I have a new laptop with windows 8 (asus g75v ) for gaming, and NVidia gtx 670m graphics. I installed fsx gold and when I am a minute into the game a message comes up "Microsoft flight simulator has stopped working" this program has found a problem. it gives me a prompt to close down the program to the desktop. Is there a fix or at least a workaround so I can play this game in the windows 8 enviorment? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
December 14, 201213 yr what does it say in the error message? if it's a UIAutomationCore.dll issue, you can try copying the Vista version (gooogle it) and paste it into your FSX folder
December 14, 201213 yr Right click on the bottom left of your screen and select Event Viewer - then go to Windows Logs -> application and find the error relating to FSX. That should give you a clue as which application / dll is causing the crash.
