December 14, 201213 yr Hello All -- well, for some reason I cannot download the "c" SP revision for my 800/900 NGX. When I try to start the download process, I just get an error stating the download "cannot be downloaded". This is the first problem I have had with any of download for the NGX 800/900 (base model). Any clues or help for me here? Any help much appreciated. Regards, Bob Bob Magill
December 14, 201213 yr Hi Bob, I just tried to download the SP1C and had no trouble at all. Try this link again, and pick the NGX 800-900 (top right hand side) and see how you go. http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/downloads/updates.html Good Luck Bob! Let us know how you go. Various other sim download sites are working fine --- just tested them. I also tried both IE and Firefox with same results. Any other ideas? I have never seen this before. I am using Comcast as my provider. Maybe something there? Thanks for any help ---- Bob Bob Magill
December 14, 201213 yr I wish they'd put the date on their updates. I don't recall if I've applied these latest updates or not. Anyone know if there's a way to tell what version you have? p.s. I recently reinstalled FSX, as I got a new processor, graphics card, and "C" drive (solid state). Can I just copy my PMDG 737s from my old "C" drive (now "F:") to my new C:/FSX/Simobjects/Airplanes, or will I have to reinstall them from scratch?
December 14, 201213 yr {{Just run the update and it will tell you, I just did }} Mosteen - I added to my post after you answered. Do you know if I'll have to go through the whole install process again? Edit - Never mind - I just tried the update and it told me it can't find my installation of the plane.
December 14, 201213 yr Ah, hm, strange. I was unsure if I had the SP1c so I ran it and it said it was already updated, took a few secs only.
December 16, 201213 yr Bob, did you manage to sort it out yet? December 16, 201213 yr Author Bob, did you manage to sort it out yet? Rgds, Steve Hello Steve --- yes I did. Finally found a "deeply buried" security setting on my system that was blocking the file. I still have no idea why is was being blocked, but that fixed it. Also I had some great support from the folks at PMDG as well that got me updated in the meantime while I was on my "witch hunt". Thanks to everyone for all the comments. We finally got there. Bob :Big Grin: Bob Magill
