December 17, 201213 yr In your opinion which is the optimal % humidity and Celsius Temperature to have in pc's room for best hardware conservation? December 17, 201213 yr I can't answer that, but I can attest to how tolerant PCs are with respect to greatly varying humidity & temperature. For example, I have had my PC's back cover off so that I can direct air-conditioned air at ~40 degrees F directly at the mainboard, GPU, DRAM, and CPU via two 4" metal flex ducts that come out of the cardboard cowling I fashioned for my thru-the-wall A/C unit...for about 10 years now all told, with no problems other than a CPU I killed from overvolting (I'm quite confident). Since the A/C cycles on and off when it is turned on, air temp oscillates between 40F and maybe 48F over a 10 minute period--over and over and over, and no troubles. I have a very stable system. December 19, 201213 yr Author Thanks Noel, I think the optimal % humidity ofr hardware is 50%. Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
December 19, 201213 yr Thanks Noel, I think the optimal % humidity ofr hardware is 50%. And how do you achive that? Humidifier? This thread kinda reminds me about some other project I had going sometime where humidity whas very important, and it whas very hard to keep it steady without a humidifier   :Peace:
December 20, 201213 yr Author I've not achieved in anyway, it's my opinion, best way to achieve a value range 50-60% is a humidifier sure! I purchased an igrometer to monitor it to see max and min variation vs others rooms and see if pc room has less or more humidity.
