December 18, 201213 yr Hi everyone If you've been to the United Arab Emirates you would know there are sandstorms over there. I'm always flying in Dubai and i tried rain but that doesn't seem to real.. lol.. Anyways is there any sandstorm weather packages? um... ok.. Thanks ^_^
December 18, 201213 yr Unfortunately, there are not. Lowering visibility is about the best simulation of a sandstorm one could get. I know I've seen Active Sky and FSX Real World Weather reflect such weather phenomenon by simply lowering visibility as reported by METARs. I suppose one could toy with saturation/color options within ENB Series or my new personal favorite, SweetFX to simulate the sandy color. This would be a bear and not all that convenient, but absolutely possible. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

Thanks ^_^ Buy FlyTampa's Dubai, it has sandstorm effects all over the city which look pretty cool in the day time and is the only addon I have ever seen that included such effects. They also include some really cool night pollution effects in the city areas that stand out really well at night. Although it wont help you in other parts of the world, it certainly looks cool when your on approach and see the sandstorms out in the distance. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
