Still have a little camera problem

Featured Replies

I am almost over my transition from EzDok to Opus camera feature and am really starting to enjoy it as much as i did before switching to Opus, but still have a little glitch i don't seem to be able to get rid of.

This could very well be something i am missing in the settup process, so this is what is happening.

I use windowed mode (Which i have to do) when doing my camera views settup and I have the cameras switching as smooth as silk from view to view (FMC to LH seat for instance), but when i am satisfied with my setting and switch to full screen mode (Which is how i fly), i get this anoying camera shake right before the camera switches over to the selected view. The actual movement of the camera over to the view i have selected is as smooth as when i was setting up.

Is it me or has anybody else noticed this?

Thanks,

Rick Hobbs

Hi

What do you mean exactly by camera shake, do you get a different view displayed between camera transitions or is the zoom changing?

Hi Cherl. No different camera view or Zoom change. The camera does everything it is supposed to do. It moves to the view I select and does it smoothly. It is the instant I hit the button that I have assigned to the view I want to move to, it is like a violent camera shake for a fraction of a second and then it moves to the selected view.

Cheryl, I think that's the same thing I've tried to explain before. It could almost be described as a very fast 'stutter' just before actually deciding which view it must transit to. Would you agree Rick?

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

I think since OpusFSX Beta Version 2.70.9 the stutter at the beginning of the transition is still there but doesn't happen so often.

[This beta also corrects a problem preventing the forced recovery of surface winds. The camera view delays have also been increased to allow all systems time to process the 6DOF SimConnect commands and prevent the default FSX view being displayed when switching cameras]

OK Phil, see how you get on with the next beta which we will work on over the weekend. We will have to introduce a delay which we are unable to test here so let me know how you get on.

Cheryl

Sorry, I went out off a while. Yes Phil, I would say you have explained my problem better than I did.
