ntdll.dll crashing FSX

I'm building a home cockpit, and have FSX running on three separate Windows 7 computers - two are 64 bit, and one is 32 bit (soon to be 64). Every one of them WILL menu crash eventually without the Vista uiautomationcore.dll in the FSX folder. One of the 64 bit machines is quite touchy in this regard, and will CTD after only 8 to 10 menu accesses. With the other two, it could take 20 or 30 menu operations to provoke the CTD, but it WILL happen without fail on all three PCs.

There is definitely something wrong with your system and/or FSX configuration. I have tried to duplicate this error several times by hitting the menu bar 50 times. No crash or problems. You must have all of your sliders set all the way to the right or your system and system components are not properly configured in the BIOS. I know the menu crash even happens with computer experts like Word Not Allowed but I have not been able to get this crash to occur (and many others have not had the problem either). I'm glad it is working for you but it is not the solution as many still get CTD's even with the Vista uiautomationcore.dll placed in their FSX main folder and, in some cases, IMHO it could do more harm than good. One other thing to look at is the proper installation of MSV 2005 w/SP1 and make sure you have all dotnets properly installed (from version 1.1 to 4.5) (uiautomationcore.dll is part of the dotnet package(s) and it manages memory for a product). FSX/Acceleration was developed with V1.1 and MSV 2005 (Acceleration with 2005 SP1).
