December 24, 201213 yr I just bought the Jeppesen FD ipad service and got the state of california. Everything looks good except I have a question regarding the enroute portion of the app. In the government standard charts, it will give you the radials that makes up a waypoint. So for example ALBAS (located just off the coast of southern california) waypoint is made up by the 123 degree radial from LAX VOR and the 171 degree radial from SLI VOR, so if i ever needed to use that waypoint in flight I could intercept the 171 radial from SLI and fly directly to it. However in the Jepp FD charts it doesn't seem to show the other radial that makes up a waypoint. This helps a lot with navigation and I am hoping there is somewhere that I can change a setting to show the extra radial. Otherwise I paid $126 to have a major part of my nav not shown. Here is a picture below of the ALBAS intersection I talked about. You can see the 171 degree radial coming from the north from SLI and the LAx 123 radial coming east from LAX. If anybody knows of a solution to this please let me know. Thanks a lot FAA Multi Commercial Pilot/Flight Instructor
December 25, 201213 yr The bit of chart that you posted, is that from the jeppesen app? Because it looks quite similar to what skyvector shows: http://skyvector.com/?ll=33.35009384517855,-117.8535754718842&chart=404&zoom=4&plan=V.K2.LAX:F.K2.ALBAS:V.K2.MZB On the chart provided by skyvector the ALBAS intersection sits on the V-25 airway between LAX (123) and MZB (304) and the 171 radial of SLI. Does the jeppesen app show the low altitude V-25 airway? If so, follow it to the MZB or LAX VOR and see if it shows a radial there.
December 26, 201213 yr Like I said in your other post we only use jepp fo the approach charts and Foreflight for Enroute. Unfortunately you wasted your money. Chris Miller
