Triple monitors 2d panel problem spinning mouse

Featured Replies

Hello. Just received this today I run fsx on 3 monitors with a 680gtx.

However as I cycle through the views Using the A key

when I get to the 2d panel just get a black screen on the bottom third of the screen

the mouse cursor spins and frames drop from 30 to 7 if I cycle back to

the vc no improvement and cursor carrys on spinning

I have fixed this on default fsx planes with a file I downloaded

Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this on the pmdg ngx

It may be I have to change sone settings in a cfg file

But don't know where to start

Any help greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Hello,

I have the same issue. Did you find a resolution?

I was able to solve this by modifying the panel.cfg to change all areas where window_size = 1.000, xxx to window_size = 0.333, xxx

Yes it's a known bug with fsx and using 2D panels on multiple monitors as one desktop. It only occurs in full screen mode.

Editing the CFG of the panel so the windows are smaller(and within the screens bounds) will fix this.

Also dropping into windowed mode before switching to the 2D cockpit and manually resizing all the various popup windows(including that weird invisible one) and repositioning them will mean you can go back full screen again without any risk of it corrupting again when ou cycle through views.

Final one, edit your camera definitions and remove the 2d view completely...then pressing a will never cycle through it( you'll still have pop ups for fmc etc available in vc)

Ah, please tell my sim that! LOL

Certainly happens in wither the windowed for full screen mode. The fix above works for many panels.
