I have Flight1 Ultimate airliners Super 80 pro and noticed the DC-9 classic was just released. What do others think of this bird? Since I have the MD80 is it realistic to buy the DC-9?

Did you look at the customer support forums for the DC-9? Given that you have the Super 80 you should have access to the DC-9 support forums as well.

 

For me it's a bit buggy, FPS intensive and no RNAV capability. However If you like classic aircraft you'll like this. Flight one also has a great 30 day refund policy so give it a try and see if you like it and if you don't, get a refund.

 

Also we're still waiting for the paint kit from McPhat after 3+ months.

I LOVED it.

 

Very complex systems modeling. No FMC, which actually makes it fun planning VOR based routes.

 

BUT... I got CTDs with it. Nothing more frustrating than hand flying the old beast all the way down to minimums on an IFR approach only to have the computer hang 2 minutes before landing! Rather than throw things at my monitor, I chose to get a refund after the third crash.

 

Buy it! If you don't like it or it crashes on you, get a refund. Love Flight 1 that way!
