January 3, 201313 yr Have you tried reading the manual? You haven't technically even asked a question, so I think it's going to be hard for many to help you without something that focuses things a bit more. Something like how do you make it follow a heading or how do you manage a climb? Eric Szczesniak Eric Szczesniak
January 3, 201313 yr I would appreciate some help! The tutorial (I really recommend reading at least this) really covers the autopilot from climb to an ILS approach and manually landing the aircraft (the J41 is not capable of autolanding). You can also refer to page 123 of the FCOM. PITCH: You select your cleared altitude by turning the ALT knob to the required altitude. Then select ALT SEL and IAS (autopilot will climb/descend only at this speed) or VS (vertical speed) on the flight director. To cruise at a specific altitude select ALT on the flight director. ROLL: Choose HDG on the flight director if you being vectored by ATC. Choose NAV if you are flying using the FMS. You need to select LNAV on the HSI control panel (panel to the left or right of the flight director) on the PF's side before you can use this. Select APR to direct the aircraft to follow the ILS localizer and glideslope. BC will direct the aircraft to fly a backcourse approach. SPEED: You need to keep an eye on your speed. This aircraft does not have an autothrottle system so you can overspeed and stall. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
January 4, 201313 yr Author I tried the commands, that worked well. I found, however, this AP more complicated to use than other models  Thanks for your attention
