does x-scenery.com mu2 work in xplane 10.11

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I did some looking around but did not find an exact answer. Does the MU2 work in xplane 10? I have version 10.11.

also, if someone has this in xplane10, how is this product? Looks pretty nice. Thanks!

Hi Jeff

I think the MU-2 is one of the finest add-on aircraft available for X-Plane.

The aircraft at the moment doesn't take advantage of all the new features in XP10, but it does fly extremely well. I think it creates the best sensation of flying, of any add-ons I have tried.

All current owners of the aircraft are shortly going to be getting a new version exclusively for X-Plane 10. This will be released I believe when the latest 64 bit beta 10.20 is a stable release. The best thing of all is this will be a free update for existing users of the aircraft.

You can read all about it at the following link:-

http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/forum/17-x-scenery/

This site is regularly frequented by the aircraft's designer Tom Kyler, who will always take the time to answer any questions you may have.

My advice to you is to go ahead and get it, you will definitely enjoy.

Regards

I own it too and this one is a real joy to fly. For now I fly it only in 32bit mode, in 64bit some switches don't work, but I'm sure it will be updated once 64 is out of beta.

Good morning,

Thanks for the info guys. :) I saw a contact box to leave a message at the website after I posted here, and they did reply with a yes. I am hopefully downloading the MU2 this evening. I do look forward to the new update thereafter. I have been trying to use Xplane10 more and more as I've been using MSFS since 98...now FSX of course. With all the updates to Ver 10, I do hope the gaps in scenery/airports are filled which will really brings things up to what I enjoy with my surroundings. Anyway, back on topic...sorry... looking forward to flying the MU2. Thanks again.

Hey Jeff, sorry just saw the post here. The current MU2 defintiely leaves a bit to be desired for XP10 IMO, but it does work reasonably well for a 4year old aircraft and as stated, the update after x-plane stabilizes will be for free if you are an existing customer so you don't necessarily lose anything by grabbing it now if you like. The update is significantly (really really significantly) enhanced in the cockpit, better 3D, new instruments, higher resolutions, etc, etc, blah blah.....This whole switch to 64-bit thing kind of has customer milling around the lobby for intermission while we get our acts together but I think after all the dust settles, x-plane developers will get right back into it. Thanks for enquiring!

Thanks Tom,

Much appreciated. I did purchase and took her for a short spin and I agree with you. One of the things I noticed is the flight dynamics are somewhat touchy. I do look forward to the update. Hopefully Laminar gets the final version out in reasonable fashion. There are quite a bit of add on devs waiting to release updates for their products. Thanks again.

By setting both props to the same CW using planemaker, I resolved the tendency to overdue the torgue effect
