January 4, 201313 yr Hi, I have active sky evolution running with fsx. I like it but what I don't like is those unrealistic flat clouds, as thin as a paper sheet that I often see. Is it possible to get rid of them by an approriate setting? Thank you. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/

January 4, 201313 yr Author hello Thank you, I will try that. By the way, active sky evolution does not come with textures . I use rex as a texture geneartor, so I wonder if the problem is caused by the rex stratus textures. I've looked up in the options but could not find a choice of textures for stratus clouds. Any idea why the startus look so flat? My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
January 4, 201313 yr Because they've formed in stable air. Cumulus clouds are found in unstable air: the rising air lifts the tops of them up until you eventually get towering cumulus if the air is unstable enough. IOW, they look flat because they are. Mike Dryden
