EZDoC/EZCA querstion related to camera shaking

Featured Replies

Occasionally I fly an aircraft in FSX with the EZDoC view add-on that results in intense shaking at cruise speed. I believe that this is attempting to simulate approaching overspeed, however in this case the aircraft is well within speed limitations. I'm not sure if this intense shaking is triggered (and therefore possibly changed) from an aircraft.cfg setting, or if one of the EZDoC settings needs to changed. Has anyone experienced this and been able to tweak something to mitigate this?

Thanks, Bruce.

yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. I think I saw this on the J41 or another aircraft classified as "medium." I ended up just importing the vibration profiles from another airplane that didn't exhibit the same behaviors and then tweaked it from there. Generally now, when setting up a new Random Head vibration, I import a base file and then fiddle with it from there. I use the same DHM for all planes and the same CR for all too. In other words, I think this problem you are seeing is a quirk in one of the stock vibration profiles for medium aircraft and it will go away when you use a different stock file as your starting point.

Thanks, I will try that.

As tedious as it may seem, you must be willing to adjust and read about all of EZCA's settings. The default manual that comes with each EZCA installation is slightly shallow, so I recommend reading the Advanced Effects Manual (from the EZCA web site) if you want to perfect your camera shake effects.

I would try zeroing parameters individually. If you notice any difference, keep that setting and adjust it later. You do not want to include parameters you do not notice or want, as doing so will only complicate the adjusting process and may make the final camera shake effect seem too "busy" or shaky.

Thanks Owen, I have gone to your link and it was great reading. I have myself into a Windows 8 issue right now, but will get back to FSX once I figure out how to get back to Windows 7.....

Thanks for your help, Bruce.

Ezdoc is an over engineered software...its not intuitive at all...you have to get a Ph.D first to use this software.

Just today, I selected "Bloom" and all hell broke loose... When I use the hat switch or anything It pivots around a point outside the aircraft. Spent too much time with this crap.

It is indeed not very intuitive, but with concentrate while reading the instructions and experimentation, you should be able to find success. I will address possible causes on your own thread.
