January 6, 201313 yr Hi all, I'm been practicing landings using the Lord of the Landings utility out of EGKK, EGLL and EGBB. Sometimes the loc button works and other times it does not engage. If I the click the App the display says B/CRS. The CMB, Alt Hold and Speed are engaged. The Navs are tuned in to the ILS freq of the appropriate runway. PMDG 737 ILS by GodAtum, on Flickr
January 6, 201313 yr Set the course selection on the MCP to the correct runway heading. Because the course setting on the picture is set for a back course approach (B/CRS) than only the loc is captured. Mark Scheerman Boeing 737-6/7/8/900 Ground Engineer
January 6, 201313 yr Author OK for EGKK landing at 26L used an ILS freq of 110.90 and a course of 260 (from FSCommander). The loc will still not engage.
January 6, 201313 yr You have turn to the localizer because you are not within the one dot to capture the localizer. And also dial 260 in the course window on the MCP for a correct ILS approach, on the picture the course selection is set on 079 that's why you are on backcourse approach. January 6, 201313 yr Author Sorry i did not make myself clear. I have tried again and dialed in the 260 course and pressed the vor loc button but nothing happens. I have not pressed the app button at this point. Its funny that EGBB works fine.
January 13, 201313 yr Author I disabled TrafficX scenery and it seems to work fine. I'll try a few more airports.
January 13, 201313 yr As seen on ND you've got IGG localizer captured. It's 08R ILS. Possible it's because 08R and 26L have same frequencies - http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/archive/index.php/t-196964.html . Rostyslav S Wanna fly 737NGX with turbulence?
