Thanks for the link!Andy

Guys, I need some help here.Somehow I managed to disable the download "save in" option window. Each time I press download, IE opens a new window and the download begins, the problem is that the file is being saved in the temporary folder and after it's finished the file opens/runs automatically. This is a major problem if the file I'm downloading is an executable.I remember like one week ago I accidentally unchecked some option in the "save in" option window (that I used to have), since then I've had this problem in every download, either if is from a web link or a button like in the Microsoft's page mentioned above.Note: If is a web link to donwload a file, the workaround I've been using is right click and select save as...But this doesn't work for "Download" buttons though. Thanks in advance,Carlos.

There is a post in the File Library Help forum about this...

>PS...looks like you're a "big dumb guy or dumb girl" if you>don't apply SP2 sooner than later. Our local friendly flame posting Jeroen will post and call you lots of names if you don't install SP2.I am downloading but will hold off for a bit until I install. Flame away Jeroen.

Noticed on the MS Download Centre page (via the link in the original posters message) a reference to not downloading that 276MB file if you are just updating a single machine. A smaller download will be made available for application via Windows Update.Might it be worthwhile waiting for that?

"Might it be worthwhile waiting for that?"It is to me.Greg

(also means I can use the dead fast connection at work :) ) Thanks for the link.

In one of the readme's contained in the download, it indicates SP1 is included in SP2, so you don't need to first install SP1 if you had an original WinXP Pro/Home version without SP1.My only challenge is getting all the availabilties again. I couldn't download a file from AVSIM, at first! It even blocked starting the flight simulator!SP2 will take a little getting use to!:-eekW. Sieffert
