Besides the included Aerosoft ones, there's LOWI and KSEA. Unfortunately, it's one of the bigger weak points in the sim. What I do is slowly populate it by finding the departure and destination airports for whatever flight I want to do and install them at the time of the flight.

A few airports Aerosoft did (all in Europe if I remember right) and LOWI/KSEA are the only ones with buildings. As the data for airport structures and placement was weak, LR decided to let us use WED 1.2 to create our own airports and upload them to LR for inclusion with a global upgraded download scenery pack. If I did KDED and KDAB today, sometime in the future, you should be able to download them just by running your updater.

As I'm aware, we're still waiting for this feature to be implemented. WED 1.2 is working, but the export to LR and the subsequent sending to masses is not yet there AFAIK.

Thanks Guys,

Do either of you know the Aerosoft ones that are included. Or where I can find out what they are.

JONRD463 I read your purchasing approach else where on this site. I like it.

FVAPRES I don't think I have the talent to create my own. But I'll keep an eye out for the scenery pack.

Thanks Again.

Bill, check your Custom Scenery folder in your X-Plane directory. Each scenery pack is named by the Airport it represents. There are 22 of them, and include Brussels, Hamburg, Heathrow, the two majors in Paris, among others. They're basically scaled back versions of their payware of the same airports. As for my approach, it goes just as much for freeware as payware. In fact, I've only purchased 1 scenery pack. The rest of the airports, I dig for at the various X-Plane sites. A lot of the stuff available is pretty basic-- FSX default level-- but there are a few really nice ones out there as well, and for free. I hesitate to criticize the work of freeware authors, since they're sharing their unpaid work, but you just have to sort through what works for you and what doesn't.

Let's see.... Out of 20 some thousand airports globally... That's about 1/1000th of them!

Thanks to everyone,

I think I've gotten all the information I need for now. But If I have any questions, I know where to go for the answers.

Regards!
