January 7, 201313 yr FYI Carenado posted new picks of the TBM and the SR22... So there is progress on the TBM which was started in March of 2012. For myself, I'll probably get both of these.
January 8, 201313 yr I've been looking forward to the TBM for months along with the PMDG T7 and FSL A320. Hopefully the TBM will be released soon. Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
January 8, 201313 yr I've been looking forward to the TBM for months along with the PMDG T7 and FSL A320. Hopefully the TBM will be released soon. Doesn't look like the TBM is nearly ready--only exterior shots were shown. There was nothing of the VC or cabin. Of the two aircraft, I'm also waiting for the TBM. The shots of the SR22 were posted already (not on Carenado's site, but I think on their Facebook page). Not much of the VC there either, so I suspect there's still a fair amount of work to do on that one. I am still hoping Carenado will do a P210 or Malibu Mirage someday. Other than OrbX's Lancair IV-P, there's never been a release of a pressurized piston aircraft for MSFS/Xplane. I've emailed Carenado--maybe due to all the money I've sent them over the years (enough to finance a summer home for sure), they'll listen.....

B) I really wish they could do a P180 with the Collins glass cockpit although I would settle for the older cockpit as well. January 8, 201313 yr Author Both the TBM and the SR22GTX they are building have g1000's. I suspect they will use the same G1000 they build for the Cessna 182T (but aircraft specific)... Which I personally will be fine with. They don't have to be true G1000's, so long as they cover the basics with a fair nav point/AP database. SS: An avanti P180 II would be very welcome indeed. MilViz should do this one as they are doing a really good Pro21 for the KingAir. One can only hope!. With these two planes out soon, that will leave only three for me yet to be done; 2012/13 Seneca V with G600's, Avanti P180 II, and a 2012/13 Piper Meridian... but would settle for the Malibu.

A MilViz P180 would, indeed, be a great plane. Hopefully either (or both) will make one in the near future. January 31, 201313 yr Author Milviz is doing an MU-2... very interesting! On a dream note: I had considered the P180 as a good candidate as a lottery winner plane... but after further review, decided against it. 5 to 7 mil to buy, and another 3 to self insure would tie up allot of funds. 65 GPH, high landing speeds, and once or twice a year packing the family in for a vacation doesn't even come close to the 90% rule. But it would be perfect for flight simming.

I do like the turbine B60 conversion from Rocket Engineering although I would add the G1000 panel to it as well. February 2, 201313 yr Author I do like the turbine B60 conversion from Rocket Engineering although I would add the G1000 panel to it as well. I Found a B60 for 30 grand... late model too (83 I believe).. IFR and Annual was up... sitting in a hanger for years with out moving. The perfect conversion bird. I put this one on my dream ticket as well, but again.. decided to pass. It fits the 90% rule (type of flying you plan to do 90% of the time), buuuutttt... total cost of the conversion (inspection, shuttle pilots, additional training for twins, avionics, and conversion itself) would be dam near close to the cost of a Brand New Piper Meridian. So in closing; the very best option for a lottery winner pilot is a new 2013 Piper Meridian. About a million less then the TBM, and you don't have to wait on France to ship it to ya. It'll be easier to sell once you blow all your winnings because we're too stupid to handle all that cash.
