January 14, 201313 yr Hi i am new on x-plane and i'd like to know if they are some good freeware addons (don't have money for payware, spent all my money on fsx ) my opinion about the game: the default sceneries are quiet poor, i have between 40 and 60 FPS but i go below 30 with clouds even 20, they are really killing my gpu (gtx 660) plus they don't look nice, there is no cumulus in the game ??? Water looks nice except at the horizon, it has exactly the same colour as the sky and it's soo weiird (i use the 64 bit version) it has potential, more than FSX but some things need to change i think.
January 14, 201313 yr Hi besides comparing tastes (FSX vs XP10) both incomparable by the way for me, you could look at X-Plane.org for lots of freeware. The strange part is I have the same card you have and I'm getting great fps with clouds at 66% at 1080p you should try to experiment with your rendering settings. Hope this helps. Cheers, Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 Alexander Colka
January 14, 201313 yr Author Yeah its weird, plus i have down to 20-30 fps in big cities with extreme autogen my clouds are about 40%

January 14, 201313 yr Ted Davis has a number of airports from around the US that are decent. They're a little on the basic side, but are on par with what you'd see as default for the same locations in FSX. He does regularly update them. http://theosdavis.co...nloads_v10.html "No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.

What rendering settings are you using? HDR on/off, AntiAliasing level? I ask because too high a high level of AA will kill your FPS in heavy cloud, even with a 600 series GPU! My current config: clouds at 45 with HDR on and 2xSS+FXAA. This keeps everything smooth for my 680 even in heavy cloud. Even if you don't use HDR, tone down that AA and see if that makes a difference.
January 21, 201313 yr I have X-Plane 9.70, but the addons below should work with X-plane 10 too I think. First of all, you should try out the x737, http://eadt.eu/index.php . A must have, you can download 150 liveries, also the wing flex is beautiful. Another great plane is the Fokker 27-600 http://forums.x-plan...showfile=11933. I recommend the XPFW 757-200 and 737-300 http://forums.xplane...m/19-airliners/ Oh, you also need the FS2Xplane, this one converts FS2002, FS9, or FSX scenery to X-Plane Scenery.. I hope I helped! Best Regards mksas I'm new here!
