Thanks for the advice. I guess the sure way is to get the yoke and see what works the best. I have no intention of glueing the yoke to the desk top. Too nice a finish on the desk!

The Proflight does not have holes in it. You would not be able to bolt it to the desktop.

Heres an idea.. With enough weight, the yoke doesnt budge an inch.. I mounted 6 pro flight panels to mine (3 on top and 3 on the side) and that provides plenty of weight to hold it down firmly, and the sticky feet stop it moving about, so you could always double bag several bags of sugar and simply tape it to the yoke? Might not look great to start with but cheap enough to experiment with?

Just got my Pro Flight Yoke & Quadrant and indeed on my unit (don't know how old yours is), there are four drilled & threaded holes that could be used for mounting, but after looking at the unit and trying it out, I concluded all that was needed to prevent movement up, down or side ways, was a little weight as RCITguy suggested, so I took my monitor and placed it on the yoke body which has worked out just fine. Not to mention that I can everything much more readily.

I have run into an operational question which maybe somebody can answer. In assigning Axis on the throttle quadrant to get the blue handled lever to operate Prop RPM, I assigned the lever "X

rotational" in the Control Axis tab. That worked. However, assigning the red lever to "Mixture Axis" using "Y rotational ", did not get any response from that lever in my Carenado V35 Bonanza. I had to use "Mixture Axis Engine 1" to get the lever to actuate the control on the panel. Of course, this is OK on a single engine aircraft, but on a twin, it is useless as it only activates one engine, unlike the Prop control lever which does control both props on the DC-3. Would like to know if there is a work around for this other than having to buy another throttle quadrant for multiple engine prop aircraft.

Thanks
