EZCA Camera Creation/Positioning versus OPUS

Featured Replies

I am looking at and will likely get OPUS. I am a happy EZCA user that also owns Accufeel 2.0 which I have fallen in love with. So obviously in EZCA I am able to create Cameras and position them in real time visually and save them and so on... In OPUS...

Sorry I know some will say... RTM!!!!! But I am at work and only have a minute....

1. Can I move my camera around in real time, tilt and rotate the view, move forwards and back and up and down smoothly and then lock that position in place for that camera? I do this in EZCA on new planes for the pilot view while I am taxiing to get that... "Chair is now in the right spot and I can see properly" ZEN I get with EZCA. I do all this via ARROW KEYS and PGUP and PGDOWN and tilt/rotate my view with the mouse till I am happy. Is it like that?

2. Can I export and share those cameras to share sets with others?

3. Can I create all manor of views like this in OPUS throughout the VC for various jobs. ZOOM in on panels view, Radios view and so on and so fourth in the same way I descirbe above?

4. This "I have to set my locked framerates to 25 so my TrackIR works right and smooth" is a wives tale right? I have TrackIR with a Proclip. Been locked at 30 fps since forever and my head panning is glassy silky smooth and hitch free except in the pattern in the JS41 at Seattle or Vancouver ORBX scenery with heavy cloud cover.

5. I did not just waste $20 on Accufeel 2.0 a few nights ago did I? I love what it is doing for ALL my planes so far.

6. Are there basic weather themes if I want to specifically pick one? MVFR windy, VFR Calm, IFR Nasty &@($* scary! stuff like that? Or a custom weather maker system.

Thanks!

1. You configure the cameras using tilt, rotate, forwards, back, up and down arrow keys on the dialog (not the mouse), you can do this whilst taxiing or flying.

2. Not yet, it is planned for a future upgrade.

3. You can create all these views.

4. Our cameras work with TrackIR.

5. OpusFSX works with Accufeel but you may have to disable the Accu-Feel global turbulence, chop, gusts, and clear air turbulence aircraft movement options if you want to use the OpusFSX turbulence.

6. You can create your own themes by saving real weather, or import custom METAR files.

Thanks! I had just come in to say I got some answers from the Mutley review but I see you answered these all quite promptly.

WOW, so this "Opus" is like EZCA, Accufeel and AS2012 in 1 app? Is that about right?

Yes, and include WideView in that list, and all with more realism. DHM and intelligent turbulence all based on real captured 3D accelerometer data, weather detailed and varied to match RW conditions horizon to horizon and beyond.
