I was looking at my cfg. file.I notice that I have four different lines about my monitors which i am running two and my graphic card her it is : [MAPVIEW_MAP]

is this normal I do not know......thanks for any ideas.....

I've seen this happen in my .cfg file also. I manually removed the duplicate entry and so far it has not returned. I'm not sure exactly what is happening when this occurs, but I think FSX is rewriting the entry itself in a different location in the file. Mine usually appear very near the bottom. The second entry has not reappeared after I removed it and FSX seems the same, certainly not worse anyway, without it there.

Whats happening is every time you update your video driver it will add another line just delete any copies and leave only one line referencing the nvidia line.

 

Delete this line "[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580.0.1]

Mode=1280x720x32"

The lines in your cfg file are not duped,

 

If you try DX10 preview you will get a new set of

[DISPLAY xxxxxx] entries, one for each monitor.

Other cause would be when changing graphic card.

I haven’t seen it when updating drivers.
