January 18, 201313 yr Are there any freeware weather engines available for FSX that are worth the install and improve on the default weather? RDS
January 18, 201313 yr I personally recommend FSRealWx lite. I have used it for a few month and think it pretty good. The winds are smooth as well. David Chen

January 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member I Would recommend FSRealWX Lite too, used it with my friend when we flew around the world in FSX multiplayer and it seemed to work well.
January 18, 201313 yr I use fsmetar. It's simple and does an excellent interpretation of of the weather. Couple that with the best clouds on the market which are also free aka Pablo Diaz's on avsim and you're good to go. http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/fsmetar/ Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
