January 20, 201313 yr Hello. I've got an AMD FX-6300 6 REAL CORES at 3.5 GHz. A friend of mine overcloked it up to 4.0 GHz. I'm runing FSX for 5 hours and getting maximun temperatures of 50ºC. I asked myself If I'm runing with a good temperature or it's quite hot. I have also an ARTIC COOLING FREEZER 13 as a COOLER. I dont understand too much about CPU, due to that doing my question abou that. Should I take down the temperature or it's a good one. I saw the TJMAX of my CPU is 85ºC but I don't know what's that. Thanks you very much Ivan
January 20, 201313 yr TJMAX is the max temperature your CPU will run at. I'd say 50C under load is pretty darn cool. For example, my i7 runs about 34C idle and up to about 70C max under load, with typical temps during FSX of around 65C. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! January 20, 201313 yr Author Thanks for your quick answer, So I have to worry about nothing gettinbg that kind of temperatures. Thanks again. Ivan
January 20, 201313 yr Sure, as Larry has said, that seems to be more than OK. I know your's is an AMD so it will be different, but I too had an OC i7 950 and that was running at about 75c under load! Besides, you have gone from 3.5Ghz to 4Ghz which is a very conservative overclock... HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
