Hi Bert,

The gauge face has 20C / div.

I just tried to add it up.

545C=1013F EGT

Look up "typical EGT values" .... you'll find that 1400F is still considered normal..

Thanks Bert,

I was leaning by Gal/hr.

Then later I tried EGT for 1300F goal using the gauge.

In doing EGT gauge reading I could not see 20C/div being accurate so I turned on tool tips to see where I was.

Is the gauge face correct with 20C/div?

No idea... try changing the mixture and read the Tooltip at several settings...

That will tell you if the gauge is calibrated correctly or not. It is not supposed to start at zero (!)

Typically, you would lean for "50 degrees rich of peak" or such, not for an absolute value.

Bert,

Thanks .. I will try using the digital (F degrees) gauge to lean.

The analog gauge is just closer (always in view).

Just use the analog gauge - lean for peak temperature and ease off for 1-2 marks. Close enough.

Bert,

That sounds like a winner ... will do, thanks.
