January 22, 201313 yr Commercial Member Hey guys, this is getting frustrating! I am using FSPanelStudio (FSPS) and I am trying to create a new panel window to be used only for display an instrument cluster. I want to drag this new window into a separate monitor but the problem is that the new window will not show up at the monitor's screen size! The main display is being projected at 1920x1080... This is the visuals display. The second monitor is being used at 1920x1200... This is the instruments display. I have set the dimensions of the new instruments cluster window within FSPS to 1920x1200 and I am able to move the gauges and have them nicely lined up with the cutouts on my MIP, but as soon as I start FS, go full-screen and drag the new window to the second monitor, the instruments do not line up. It seems like the window is being displayed at 1920x1080 and NOT 1920x1200, and thus the instruments are getting squashed. Anyone has any tips on how to properly create a 1920x1200 window that displays properly? Thanks! Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
January 22, 201313 yr Stupid question time, why not just set your panel up at1920x1080? Out of curiosity, does it work in Windowed mode? regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
January 22, 201313 yr Moderator It's unfortunate, but FSPS simply does not natively support setup for anything other than 4:3 ratio displays, hence you will need to fiddle with the settings for width in FSPS until you come close to a 16:9 ratio. Out of curiosity, does it work in Windowed mode? regards, Joe Because the monitor being used to display the instruments has a native resolution of 1920x1200... I haven't tried windowed because I never use window mode. It's unfortunate, but FSPS simply does not natively support setup for anything other than 4:3 ratio displays, hence you will need to fiddle with the settings for width in FSPS until you come close to a 16:9 ratio. That sucks. :-( What I can't understand is why would FS display a panel as 1920x1080 even though I have it set as a 1920x1200 panel in FSPS. January 22, 201313 yr Moderator FS will use whatever the resolution is listed for that monitor in the fsx.cfg file. FS still will not rescale the 2d image used to correct for correct ratio, which is why you need to artifically adjust the width of the "window_size=" entry in the panel.cfg file for that sub-window popup.
