I'm assuming it's the FSX flight planner. Make sure you start up FSX as the Administrator. Right click Flight Simulator X and select Run as Administrator. Another possibility is that you do not have Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2005 and 2005 with SP1. These programs are normally installed when you install FSX but Acceleration was released before they could get the SP1 version incorporated with the program. This is the version of 2005 you should have installed - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2538242. Note all of the files that are included with the program. The last four digits of the Version is the version you should have installed (6195). You can only get this version by installing the 2005 with SP1 then running Windows Update. You can check on your current version by opening your Windows Explorer, then clicking on your main hard drive symbol (C:\), then, in the upper right corner, type one of the files listed in the link I provided, like atl80.dll. Windows Explorer will look for every one installed. You will just need to right click the file, click on Properties, then hit the Detail tab and it will show you the version. (Apologize in advance if you're a computer wiz and this is too basic for you).

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jim

I recently got Fsinn/Fscopilot in order to fly on Vatsim and after doing some research I learnt that it is causing the crash but I'm not so sure on how to solve it. Any known fix?

There are a lot of issues with FSInn/FSCoPilot and when individuals have a CTD, I usually look to see if those modules are installed. I did a Google search for FSInn/FSCopilot CTD and got lots of hits. One suggestion was to disable 'tuner' in the FSInn. Supposedly on the VATSIM forum there's a 'sticky' on how to properly configure these two modules AND, if you do not follow those instructions, you will have problems. I don't fly on VATSIM or use FSInn/FSCopilot so I recommend you either check out that sticky or do a Google search like I did and read the many comments on how others fixed their problem.

Best regards,

Jim
