January 31, 201313 yr Hi dear ! Does anyone know if there's a forum within Avsim, where I could go and find reviews for Add-Ons? I mean like real "no-nonsense" feedback about a/c add-ons?" -- I don't know about you but I am pretty exhausted about reading so many "bashing" on every a/c add-on that comes out. For goodness sake we know the tremendous effort PMDG puts on their add-ons; but, please stop comparing a/c that they have not developed. I have been interesting in CS 777, but most of what I read is: "Oh, know...This is not a PMDG; Oh no, PMDG is better." "Oh no, Airbus X is not like PMDG...Oh no, The Concorde is not a PMDG...Oh no, my cat doesn't look like PMDG... My wife doesn't walk like a..." Etc..etc. Some folks are so in love with one developer that they truly believe in their minds that no one else can develop another product. In fact ,they will jump off a cliff and tell you that this a/c Vs that a/c flies (or not) like the real thing...When all they have done in real life is sit in the passenger's seat. --- We need to stop comparing the wrong products and stop bashing every other product because it doesn't come from the one we're used to. Yes PDMG are great products, but they will not develop every add-on for us-- SO GIVE THE OTHER DEVELOPERS A CHANCE, AND STOP INFECTING OTHERS WITH YOUR POOR MENTALITY!
February 1, 201313 yr Have you considered AVSIM Reviews and Member Reviews? It is occasionally frustrating to see how harsh some customers can be, but many users are very demanding because they possess real-world aviation experience and/or recognize that FSX possesses a lot of potential (exemplified by the accomplishments of A2A, FSDT, OPUS, PMDG, RealAir, etc.). Many people forget or ignore the fact that different developers and products have different target audiences. In any case, I think the constant "PMDG Future Projects" threads are even more annoying.
