February 3, 201313 yr I highly recommend the manuals that come with the MD-11, they are really very helpful. It covers topics like how to use the load manager, and how you can also use the FMC to load fuel within FSX without the load manager. As for changing views in the cockpit, some people like to use a program called EZdok EZCA which is a payware utility that makes adding and changing custom camera views a breeze, or there is also OpusFSX which is a weather program but it also has custom camera views that are also easy to use.
February 3, 201313 yr PMDG's support website has a handy guide with tips for Boeing guys making the transition to the MD-11: http://support.preci...-the-md-11.aspx As Molleh said, read through the manual, but if that's too much info to absorb, at least fly the tutorial flight. I printed the tutorial pdf out and followed it step by step which is very thorough. After I flew the tutorial, I went onto youtube and picked up some more knowledge. EZDOK or OPUS makes it easy to switch camera views. With EZDOK I never use the 2D panels. You can load up a cold and dark state if you wish through the FMC once the initialization process is done or just simply leave your engines running to start programming the FMC for flight. You can use the load manager for fuel or you can hit ALT to bring up the menu bar to select PMDG fuel to adjust your levels. It's an awesome bird! Chris Sunseri
