February 4, 201313 yr Now many of you will think that I am posting this in the wrong XP forum and that I should be posting in the scenery design forum, but the thing is that I am trying to reach people who don't normally hang out there. If many of you are like me you'd probably like to know at least a little bit about this subject, at least on a level that would let you correct oh-oh's from a not entirely successful conversion of an MSFS scenery product, or maybe you just want to correct some flaws in or around a downloaded X-Plane freeware file, maybe squash some trees sprouting up from a runway or eliminate some skyscrapers from your short final approach path. Well, if this describes you, I have good news. The good folks over a xsimreviews are offering a set of tutorials on scenery design written by Robert Arts. Part I was put on their site back in December, and it covers the first four tutorials. The first three can be found here: http://xsimreviews.c...-tutorials-1-3/ Number four here: http://xsimreviews.c...rial-4-wed-pt1/ As of today, they are offering the first installment of Part II Tutorial 5 is here: http://xsimreviews.c...-5-wed-part-ii/ Now I can't vouch for their ease of understanding, as I haven't read them yet, but I intend to give them a try. Perhaps I'll run screaming from the room after a few mintues wrestling with them. Robert does say the sixth tutorial will be labled PRO, because it entails coding, but there will be more to follow after number 6. Anyway, if you're interested, you now know where to find them! Have fun! Tom

Here's a link to the aircraft http://www.nitroplan...39-p51-arf.html, it's sold elsewhere as well. It's 47" ws and electric, electric retract gear, flaps. It does 65-70 mph on a radar gun consistently, replaced with bigger motor and speed controller than stock, running 4s. I painted it myself, charcoal detailing, invasion stripes on bottom, the "Chuck Yeager" graphics are from a women in New Mexico, Callie Graphics, http://callie-graphics.com/index.php, she does helicopter stuff as well. All sized / scaled to your aircraft of choice. My son and I also do quite a bit of off-road racing with 1/8 ebuggys, 4s lipos is precisely what we use, that combined with Tekin Rx8 2250kv brushless motor, man talk about power. Batteries (lipos) have come a long way, it makes our hobby a lot easier, just plug and play. thanks for sharing. Now back to our original program!!!
