777 learning curve

What would be the learning curve for 737NGX pilots? Obviously it's a new plane but I guess a lot will be similar such as the MCP and FMC?

I would assume so, i mean the displays are similar for the most part, most of the systems are automatic including starting, so it shouldnt be that much harder to master.

I have found the B777 documentation at SmartCockpit.com most useful in preparation for the new aircraft. I believe that, after being used to the B744, the conversion will not be too difficult.

Are the docs on SmartCockpit.com the same as the PMDG FCOM?

I would certainly hope so. They are published by Boeing!

You'll find that once you've used a study level sim such as one from PMDG, that the rest are very easy to pick up on. The MD-11 was even an easy transition once I figured out all of the MD versus Boeing quirks.

Thats good to hear. I am so excited! I need a longer range aircraft then the 737 in my hanger.

I am hoping to jump in and fly. 737NGX owners should have an easy time. All the added extras like EFB may tie us up. I got my throttles for the 777.
