Installing the Level D in P3D

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been attempting to get my 767 loaded into P3D. So far it is being shown as an aircraft in the select aircraft dropdown box in P3D. I used the Migration tool to do the install. Everthing is fine until I load the aircraft at an airport, I get a crash to desktop. FSX is not installed on my computer and virtual FSX is off as suggested. I have exhausted myself searching forums, I'm not a frequent topic starter. I have seen 1 guy get it to work, however, it appeared to have been done manually (before the Migration tool). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have it working.

Why do you turn off Virtual FSX "as suggested" The only time you turn it off is when you install something for both FSX and P3D or P3D solely (thats in the Migrator document)

The latest version of Migrator says to install Migrator and leave it enabled except for the above...again read the Migrator docs.

I suggest an uninstall of LDS, enable Migrator and leave it on. Install LDS. Disable Migrator (not just close the programme as Virtual FSX is still working..you need to disable virtual FSX

Then run FSUIPC install again - BTW since you only have P3D installed as do I do not run the migrator when you install FSUIPC (I assume you are using FSUIPC?)

Once FSUIPC is installed re-enable Migrator and leave it enabled until you need to disable it again.

That should work as thats exactly how I installed LDS in P3D.

So, to summarize:

1) Migrator: Enable Virtual FSX and then exit Migrator Tool

2) Install LevelD767

3) Migrator: Disable Vistual FSX and then exit the Migrator Tool

4) Install FSUIPC, which will properly find P3D

5) Migrator: re-enable Virtual FSX and exit Migrator Tool

6) You go...

Is this correct? I might try it myself. I have the LevelD767 (one of my preferred add-ons) :-)

BTW: When we install any patches for LevelD767, I believe we should make sure Virtual FSX is enabled - that's after all how I leave it all of the time, unless I have to install some add-on with native P3D installer.

Thanks for the replies. I did try and I thought that I was in the clear, when P3D would not start citing an invalid license with the Level-D. Of course I've had a valid license for years and used the product with FSX. I have the Ifly 737 running perfectly and quite frankly it makes the Level-D seem quite dated. I did enjoy the product, but it's time to move on.

Hello guys,

I tried to install the Level-D as mentioned above (with all that migrator stuff...), but unfortunatly it doesn't work for me. P3D crashes right from the very beginning  :(  - without any failure reporting. BTW - I tried out with the "old" FSUIPC and the "new" 4.90. Level-D Version is with SP2a. All done with full admin-rights on a Win7/64 system. Any suggestions?

BTW - I just removed both the LVLD.DLL and Language-DLL. Prepar3D than started correctly - of course I couldn't use the 767 - but it seems that one of these (needed) DLL's causes the CTD...

Greetings

Thomas
