February 21, 201313 yr I've just had to reinstall windows7 due to problems. FSX with many addons is still on the F drive and I would like to know if it is possible to reinstall FSX-Acceleration without uninstalling F drive. I realize a few files are installed to the C drive by default.
February 22, 201313 yr I have a similar drive setup (FSX in separate D:) but have no missions appearing. Don't think I can help you with your problem, but do you happen to know WHICH files might be installed in C: rather than D: ? I have thought this might be the problem (see post in Missions forum). February 22, 201313 yr Acceleration will install only on the same drive and directory as FSX is located. If you reinstalled Windows, there are no registry entries anymore so you are free to install FSX/Acceleration anywhere you want. February 22, 201313 yr 1. Re-name old directory (ie F:\FSX to F:\FSX_OLD). 2. Make a new directory (ie F:\FSX). 3. Install FSX, fly default flight, shutdown. Install Acceleration. 4. Delete new directory and all it's files. 5. Re-name old directory (ie F:\FSX_OLD to F:\FSX). 6. Re-name FSX.CFG to FSX_CFG_OLD. Copy over your tuned FSX.CFG. You might have some addon HTML problems, just re-install that addon. Dave
February 24, 201313 yr Author Thank you Dave for this easy to use, simple work around. It sure saved me some time (My old FSX file is 133 GB). Ray
