March 4, 201313 yr I recently installed XP 10, and when it went to update itself I did not check the "Check Beta releases". What I would like to do in update to the 64 bit version, which is still in beta, but now I don't seem to be able to get back to the updating page to make the choice to update from a beta file. I'm not sure what I am missing, so thought I would ask here. Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
March 4, 201313 yr There is always a check box on the bottom of the update ("Pick Destination") window labeled "Check for new betas as well as updates...". Is not there?
March 4, 201313 yr I ran into this as well today Bruce. I found a link on google that pointed to direct links for the various updates. Once I hit that I saw the option for Beta versions and successfully got 10.20 running. Struggling to find this link for you now though! Still looking. Peter
March 4, 201313 yr Bruce, Get the installer/updater here http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/x-plane_10_installer-updater/ Launch the application and click on update X-Plane tab, tick the check for new beta box. That should do the trick.
March 4, 201313 yr Author Thanks everyone, for the helpful replies.... It almost seems like you have only one chance of updating from beta files, and that's when you first do an update. In my case, as I declined this option, the application updated to the most current RELEASED version, and since there are no further release versions released, the update option has gone away totally- I assume it will reappear when there is another release version released.... I will try downloading the updater, thanks Michael T.... Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
