I wonder if anyone can help me with my problem. Turns out this wonderful aircraft in flight freezes every 5 or 10 minutes, I mean the complete simulator even going to be the typical message .... (no answer), but automatically returns to life alone for refrozen after a while. I have to say that I was wrong with my previous pc, renewed almost its entire hardware for various reasons and because I thought surely this would solve the problem but it has not happened and I'm still the same.

 

I run Windows 7 Pro x64 with Prepar3D (with FSX I get exactly the same).

 

I do not understand what is happening and can not find the solution. I tried to incorporate HIGHMEMFIX = 1 under [GRAPHICS] but nothing. If someone can give me a solution eternally be grateful.

P3D is not officially supported by PMDG. Regardless, it does not require HIGHMEMFIX=1. Did you try HIGHMEMFIX=1 with FSX as well?

 

Are you using any add-ons that require constant updates (automatic flight saving, traffic, weather, etc.) or Windows utilities that might be interfering with performance?

I tested with FSX and neither works. Plus I use REX + Overdrive, having to download data from internet time each x time. I use MyTraffic 2010 also but not used it before and also passed. In Windows I have the basic programs and I have nothing that could interfere with it. I must tell you that my father, too fond of this simulator, also has this airplane and also the exact same thing happens. The two performed a significant performance increase in our computers and, both then and now still having problems.

The only time I had an issue of freezing with the PDMG was when I used an earlier version of ProAtc X with it. (while using MYtraffic, Orbx, Rex and Opus) it would last about 5-10 min then the sim would resume without crashing.

 

Prepar3D will tell you if you get an OOM

 

I would disable all you addons, fly the NGX (hopefully you have no problems) and activate your addons 1 by 1 after and see if you can find the culprit.

Also, how did you configure both your FSX settings and FSX.cfg tweaks? Did you experiment independently or follow a published approach such as the AVSIM FSX Hardware and Software Guide or Word Not Allowed's Guide?

Really use Xtreme P3D Booster with great results but I'm having problems with freezing. I have not yet tried to disable MyTraffic 2010 ... is all I have installed since running with or without REX Overdrive makes me equally.

Same here it freezes for about 10 seconds while in flight every five- ten minutes. Opus weather, many addons the same I use with other planes i.e. Md-11 without issues.
