What happens if you disable terrain on the MFD?

What happens if you disable terrain on the MFD?

 

Yeah using any of the map features makes my FSX go from 30 > 10 and below!

Mine plummet too. Granted, .6 fps seems oddly low, but I'd try that first

You are all wrong. Here is what Carenado support had to say about the issue (via support ticket):"Clouds and traffic usually require a lot of resources from FSX, so it is recommended to lower the cloud and traffic settings if you are experiencing performance issues."

 

I kid you not.

I never run with it on so I don't have to worry lol
