March 7, 201313 yr Pretty common for FSX. I think its a weather program going on-line to update the weather and a problem occurred getting it and downloading it during your flight. This happened to me with AS2012 and I simply shutdown AS2012 and the problem went away. It could also be a program not related to FSX that decided to check the Internet to see if it is up-to-date or checking to make sure a program is legal and had a problem. There could be a scheduled service that's running in the background. Then it could also be FSX with settings set too high, a memory issue, overheating, or a bad overclock. You can download WhatisHang - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/what_is_hang.html - and see if this programs tells you what caused your system to freeze.
