while flying over pyramid lake, nevada, I spotted what seems to be a man-made whirlpool drawn by a motorboat

 

 

Oh yeah. That's the beauty of photoscenery. You discover new things all the time.

Cool! Seeing some water/wave variety is nice. Animated whirlpools would probably not be worth the additional performance impact, though.
