March 9, 201313 yr Moderator Hello! Looking at John's README files for BOTH of the Loney's Alaska_3 scenery packages, it looks as if all of the scenery textures are either from the EZ Scenery and RWY12 object libraries, which many freeware scenery packages require. I know John created some custom Object libraries for some of his scenery packs, but this particular one didn't call for any of those. Also, looking at the Description for PANN (Nenana) in the README there is no description for a water runway. Hope that helps!
March 9, 201313 yr The hangar look"s like one of Dennis Waggoner's hangars. It could come from one of two object libraries. add_dwag_hangers.BGL or ezhangers.bgl. You can get the originals here in the library. You should search your system for those two .bgl files and make sure you don't have any duplicates. Eliminate all duplicates and verify you have all the textures from the original package by Dennis. It is common for people to upload these kinds of object libraries and only include the textures needed for their scenery. This cause problems when other people use different objects from those object libraries and FS can't find the textures because they are not there. John knows this and has often been accused of having bad scenery when in fact the problem is caused by other people. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

March 9, 201313 yr Perfect that worked i deleted the one from the N med mission And the texture is back, is it necessary to delete the others as well, and just leave the one in the runway objects section enabled? Thank You  N60jbravo Edited March 10, 201313 yr by Maribell Image removed. Exceeds 400KB weight limit.
March 9, 201313 yr All theres left to do is figure out why PANN doesnt have a water runway where it suppose to be, Does anyone else have this problem in the same area? I do have UT ALASKA/CANADA and have disabled and enabled the settings for water and land but no results. Also found a couple of floating buildings in that same area but got rid of them by deleting them they were default
March 9, 201313 yr is it necessary to delete the others as well, and just leave the one in the runway objects section enabled? It's not necessary, the only thing that is necessary is that you have one copy in an active scenery folder and all of the textures for it in the texture folder for that active scenery area. If all of those copies have all the textures you can leave them be, though you gain nothing and eat up extra disc space doing so. When FS indexes the scenery files it notes object libraries once and ignores all other copies of the file. So it is not necessary to remove them but I do. regards, Joe PS. If I can find some time I will look into the other issue. The best gift you can give your children is your time.
March 10, 201313 yr All theres left to do is figure out why PANN doesnt have a water runway where it suppose to be I just took a look at PANN. The default airport does have a water runway, a grass runway and a asphalt runway. I would guess that for some reason or by accident the water runway was deleted from the airport file. I don't have this scenery installed, however, I just downloaded the two files and both are supplied with a identical AFCAD file named 'AF2_PANN' and both have the water runway and I could not find any fault that would prevent the runway - 03w/21w - from appearing and it is also identical to the default runway. I would suggest locating the original downloaded zip file (either one) and extracting the files again (to desktop). Navigate to wherever you placed the file AF2_PANN the first time, delete it and place the newly extracted AF2_PANN file in your Addon Scenery / Scenery folder and report back whether that solved the missing runway or not. Regards, Mel
March 10, 201313 yr This addon airport does not work very well with UT. UT removes the pond and places water under a bunch of buildings. Restoring to FS9 defaults should return the landing pond, I see it in FS9. Are you not seeing the pond after restoring UT to FS9 default? If so, look in ...\FS9\Scenery\Namw\scenery for HL908090.bgl and HP908090.bgl They should be dated 5-21-2003 and weigh... HL908090.bgl-34,912 bytes HP908090.bgl-66,660 bytes If yours are different you can look for backups in that folder or reclaim the originals off of your FS9 install discs. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

I replaced the UT edited with the original backed up one as I don't want to disable the water land class settings in UT for nearby areas. Seem so far all other airport areas are ok. I just took a look at PANN. The default airport does have a water runway, a grass runway and a asphalt runway. Regards, Mel Thank you for checking that I've navigated and had 2 files named the same also got rid of the duplicate which was causing problems with the taxiway as I saw 2 taxiways one bleeding through removed the duplicate and everything is back Every day I find myself fixing things as I go lol
