March 12, 201313 yr Hi, So I was just wondering around my controls menu and I came across the "Sensitivities" area. Has anyone noticed how real 737 yokes have low sensitivity? Well, today I decided to see what it would be like to lower the aileron and elevator sensitivities on my Saitek Yoke, and the immersion rocketed in the NGX! If you haven't done this, I strongly recommend that you go over to FSX and do it now. No more violent responses in the NGX! B) Thanks, Kevin L

March 12, 201313 yr Commercial Member I tend to have max sensitivity and a zero null zone for the main airbus & Boeing aircraft I fly. Btw what real world experience do you have on the NG? on the bus, tristar, 744, and 767 simulators I have used the controls are pretty damn sensitive, in cruise even more so. Anyway, it depends on your hardware, if you are using a plastic CH yoke then no matter what settings you use it will feel wrong. Rob Prest
March 12, 201313 yr Author Oh, I have no experience whatsoever in a real 737, but I've flown 2 simulators. The yoke just feels heavy. With the Saitek Yoke set to 100%, it responds like a C152; really "light" and not really Boeing-like. Since this is a $150 yoke, it won't be as realistic as a replica 737 yoke of course, but you can make it feel more realistic in this way. I think that part of it is also related to the large control inputs sometimes needed in a 737. Just my 2c. Thanks, Kevin L
March 12, 201313 yr Commercial Member I gues it is kinda why I got drawn to the bus in Fs9 & fsx. I have never been able to replicate the feel on any of the yokes out there, tried the high end yokes (except the column yoke) and it still fell far short. I guess at the end of the day it's best to look at high end addons as systems/ study sims, however it does take the fun out of hand flying. When the 777 gets released its back to A/P on after gear up and off at minimums. Rob Prest
