AOTD for 3/15/13 - Mt. St. Elias

Featured Replies

This AOTD was originally released on Nov. 10, 2012. If you missed it, now's the chance to collect it.

This one took me some time to collect. It can be pretty hard to find.

Enjoy.

Thank you.

Rick

Since this is a repeat , most of you guys probably already have it but as I am fairly new to aerocache hunting, and especially as I saw it is worth 5K XP, I loaded up my newly aquired blue/yellow Stearman livery by JML, with a fresh cup of coffee in hand,  and off I went.  Open cockpit for this one probably wasn't my brightest idea as gosh dang it was cold out there.

Loaded up google map, along with G-Map for Flight , and after pinpointing exactly where Mt Saint Elias was, I headed out.

My new Stearman leaving Icy Bay and heading northeast, with some significant up trim added for climbing.

Umm, I got to go how high here? Getting a little drafty and bumpy...

Aerocache in sight, right where it is supposed to be, yet more climbing!

Aerocache retrieved and headed down for the nearest terra firma:

Ahh, about 50 minutes and 3 cups of coffee later, able to relax, that was fun!
