March 17, 201313 yr hello folks, i was wondering since WOAI will no longer be an option for ai traffic soon, are there any other freeware ai traffic programs out there? thanks in advance towerdude
March 17, 201313 yr WOAI traffic can be converted to FSX as well as the planes. They are even compatible with DX10 to a degree. I have several WOAI traffic files converted to FSX. One thing you need to do is add the exits to the aircraft.cfg. The exits are: 737[exits]number_of_exits = 2exit.0 = 0.4, 36.6, -5.0, 3.0, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.1 = 0.4, -38.5, 4.5, -3.0, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.2 = 0.4, 33.5, 3.5, -4.0, 2 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)738[exits]number_of_exits = 2exit.0 = 0.4, 40.0, -5.0, 3.0, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.1 = 0.4, -38.5, 4.5, -3.0, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.2 = 0.4, 33.5, 3.5, -4.0, 2 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)747[exits]number_of_exits = 2exit.0 = 0.4, -30.30, -9.0, 0.88,0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.1 = 0.4, -146.0, 8.0, -7.5, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.2 = 0.4, -42.30, 9.0, -7, 2 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)Airbus 321[exits]number_of_exits = 3exit.0 = 0.4, 45.50, -6.0, 7.0, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.1 = 0.4, -33.50, 5.85, 0.0, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)exit.2 = 0.4, 29.90, 6.0, 1.0, 2 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)MD 80[exits]number_of_exits = 1exit.0 = 0.4, -18.0, -5.5, 4.5, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) Just copy and paste the approate one after the effects in the cfg. This is for the gates to work with them. Joe Watson Lake Placid, Florida
March 17, 201313 yr Commercial Member I don't think there are any up to date freeware AI programs (other than WOAI) available, I've only heard about some combinations of freely available flightplans & AI models & textures, and those are of course illegal as people who have made those combinations haven't got permission from creators of all those original files... Though now when I think about it Mytraffic 2006 was released as a freeware many years ago, I guess it might work with FSX (though of course AI models, airlines and flightplans are very outdated.) This thread has a download link for it: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66855-mytraffic-2006-dumped-to-free-download/
March 18, 201313 yr thanks. Do you know of any freeware AI programs? No need. Flightplans get uploaded into the library every day. It isn't "push-button" easy, though most of the ones from Alpha India Group (and others who follow suit) are designed to make downloading and installing the necessary aircraft (which is really the main effort) straight forward, when used with the AIFP2 freeware tool. scott s. .
March 18, 201313 yr FYI, WOAI files are not going anywhere. Jim .... What do you mean, WOAI files are not going anywhere? I downloaded some not 2 months ago. Joe Watson Lake Placid, Florida
March 18, 201313 yr Not going anywhere meaning they are not being removed when WOAI closes down. The OP thinks the files are going to be removed as was originally announced.
